City School District of New Rochelle Superintendent Jonathan Raymond is continuing his Listening and Learning Tour, frequently visiting schools and community locations and organizations. Today, Friday, Oct. 8, he visited George M. Davis Elementary School, where he was impressed by the comprehensive range of initiatives underway! The projects and displays he saw offer students the opportunity to express themselves and their voice, as well as explore deeper themes that inspire strong interest and learning while contributing to analytical thinking.

Columbus Creativity! A new mural/display at Columbus Elementary School highlights students' voices, personality traits, hopes, identity and more. Art teacher Leah Bernabei created the inspiring concept, and she worked in art classes with every Columbus student so they could contribute. The end product was the result of discussion to identify themes. Pictured after admiring the work are Principal Michael Galland and school social worker Alycia DaLoia-Moore.
