As we approach the observance of Ramadan, the City School District of New Rochelle is committed to supporting our families through a special meal initiative!
From Feb. 23 through March 19, take-home meals will be provided to students who are fasting so they can honor their religious beliefs at home. Thanks to a waiver from the State Department of Education, we are able to provide grab-and-go breakfast and lunch options at no cost (due to our current CEP status).
📋 How to Participate
If you would like your child to receive these meals, please opt in using the Meal Request Form no later than Tuesday, Feb. 17.
🍎 What’s on the Menu?
Students can take home daily options including:
Breakfast: Bagels, Muffins, or Cereal (all served with fruit and milk).
Lunch: Sunbutter & Jelly sandwiches, Bagel meals, or Muffin meals (all served with carrots, fruit, and milk).
[!IMPORTANT] These meals are intended to replace the food served during the school day. If a student eats in the cafeteria and takes a meal home, their account will incur a charge for the additional meal.
