The City School District of New Rochelle (CSDNR) Board of Education elected new officers at its annual reorganizational meeting on July 7. The Board unanimously elected William Iannuzzi President and Adina Berrios Brooks Vice President for the 2022-2023 school year. Iannuzzi was elected to a five-year term on the Board of Education in 2019 and served as Vice President for the 2020-2021 school year, Chair of the Superintendent Search Citizens Advisory Committee in 2021, Chair of the New Board Member Orientation Committee, and Co-Chair of the Policy Committee.
Iannuzzi is the Director of Clubhouses and Secondary School Programming at the Boys and Girls Club of New Rochelle, where he has been employed for 11 years, and where he was a club member throughout his childhood. He completed his primary and secondary education in the City School District of New Rochelle and earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting from Mercy College.
As Board of Education President, Iannuzzi said his focus will be to bring student voice to school district decision making.
“I will strive to ensure that our mission is to serve the students and create a world-class school district for them. I am truly optimistic about what can be accomplished this year. I look forward to working with the Superintendent, School District administration, and Board of Education to focus on data, decreasing gaps, and increasing the graduation rate. We have faced so much turbulence and so many challenges over the past several years; the focus is now on stability and getting the work done,” Iannuzzi said.
Vice President Berrios Brooks was elected to the Board of Education in 2020 and served as Vice President during the 2021-2022 school year.
Sworn into terms on the board commencing on July 1, 2022, and ending on June 30, 2027, were Adam Cooper and David Peters, who were elected in May. Cooper has previously served on the Board of Education and Peters was newly elected.
La Junta de Educación del Distrito Escolar de la Ciudad de New Rochelle (CSDNR) eligió nuevos funcionarios en su reunión anual de reorganización el 7 de julio. La Junta eligió por unanimidad a William Iannuzzi presidente y a Adina Berrios Brooks vicepresidenta para el año escolar 2022-2023. Iannuzzi fue elegido para un mandato de cinco años en la Junta de Educación en 2019 y se desempeñó como Vicepresidente para el año escolar 2020-2021, Presidente del Comité Asesor de Ciudadanos de Búsqueda del Superintendente en 2021, Presidente del Comité de Orientación de Nuevos Miembros de la Junta y Copresidente del Comité de Políticas.

La Vicepresidenta, Berrios Brooks, fue elegida miembro de la Junta de Educación en 2020 y se desempeñó como Vicepresidenta durante el año escolar 2021-2022.
Adam Cooper y David Peters, que fueron elegidos en mayo, prestaron juramento en la junta a partir del 1 de julio de 2022 y hasta el 30 de junio de 2027. Cooper se desempeñó anteriormente en la Junta de Educación y Peters fue elegido recientemente.
Board Member William Iannuzzi was elected Board President.
Board Member Adina Berrios Brooks was elected Vice President for a second term.
Adam Cooper was sworn in as a Board Member.
David Peters was sworn in as a Board Member.
