Please see the statement below from the Board of Education regarding the search for our next Superintendent:

As you may have recently read, Superintendent Jonathan Raymond indicated his last day in our district will be at the end of this school year. We would like to acknowledge and thank Mr. Raymond for his hard work and the significant contributions that he and his outstanding administrative team have made over the last 18 months. His abbreviated tenure was not anticipated, but we respect Mr. Raymond's decision and understand his need to be closer to his family.

Identifying our next Superintendent is the Board of Education's top priority and we are confident we will identify a candidate of the highest quality to succeed Mr. Raymond. The Board met to consider our options at this time and to discuss next steps. Please be assured that we are all committed to an inclusive, collaborative and open search. The Board of Education will consider internal candidates ready to continue the strong progress Superintendent Jonathan Raymond and his administrative team have established, as well as external candidates with proven, top-notch credentials. All candidates must demonstrate the ability to provide next-frontier levels of leadership and strategies that advance achievement for our students. Mr. Raymond has announced that he is departing the school district, due to family reasons, at the end of this school year.

If you have any questions for the Board regarding our process please email us at Superintendentsearch@nredlearn.org.

Best Regards,

The Board of Education on Jan. 24, 2023 presented this overview presentation on how it will recruit and select the next superintendent.

An Important Message from the CSDNR BOE

Dear Community Members:

On behalf of the Board of Education, we would like to update you on the current search for our next Superintendent of Schools.

The Board of Education received 37 applications for the position. After careful review, the Board invited five candidates for in-person interviews. In the end, three candidates were invited to give presentations and participate in Q&As with our Citizens Advisory Committee on Thursday, March 2nd. The candidates will each give a 15-minute presentation on their proposed entry plan based on our newly refreshed strategic roadmap. After each presentation, candidates will participate in 45-minute Q&As with the Citizens Advisory Committee.

The Board of Education is excited to announce the names of those selected by lottery to participate in the Citizens Advisory Committee as well as stakeholder representative members. The Board of Education conducted a random lottery that selected 60 community members and designated 10 alternates, and identified 60 stakeholders, including our PTAs, Bargaining Units, and partner community organizations.

We will continue to update the community with progress on the search over the next several weeks.

Best Regards,

William Iannuzzi, President
